Over 20 years experience in the recruitment sector, David started life as a financial recruiter at one of the UK’s top names for mid-market finance. He joined that business when it had 7 employees and was instrumental in driving its growth to 135 people, eventually rising to become MD and leading the business through its sale to a PE-backed business in 2007. Subsequently he became the EMEA CEO for The FiveTen Group during their acquisition phase of 2007/2008. David set up Finatal in 2010 wanting to again build a great business only this time better than the first.
Paul entered the world of recruitment direct from graduating from Southampton University. He worked in one of the most highly regarded finance search businesses in London setting up their Interim division and enjoyed huge success representing clients in both commerce and industry and financial services. He has a large network of CFOs from whom he gets respect and huge loyalty as he is always extremely committed to helping customers whether candidates or clients and will not give up a search until he gets the right result for them. Paul joined Finatal as a Director in 2011 and oversees all UK consultants in addition to driving our strategy for PE clients.
Mark started his professional career working with Simon Korn commercial, before going travelling around Central America for 5 months. He joined Finatal in its infancy in 2010 and was tasked developing Finatal Technology. The sector grew fast and worked with a number of VC and PE backed companies. After 5 years, he was promoted to lead the Interim business, where they are focused on working with the best Interim Finance talent across the VC and Private Equity backed companies.
Anne has been with the business since its inception and has led our Brazil team since 2012. She was responsible for building the Brazil business from scratch and she covers senior finance hires across PE but also other sectors including retail, mining, consumer goods and agro-business. Predominantly focused on Sao Paulo, Anne also assists clients on CFO and Controller hires in Rio, Minas Gerais & Curitiba.
David has 17 years experience of placing senior finance professionals having previously trained as a chartered accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Clients have ranged from multinational listed plcs and PE-backed businesses through to private companies and SMEs mainly UK-based as well as some overseas (Europe, Middle East and Asia).
With well over 15 years recruitment experience buy and sell side, Khal has recruited into key front office opportunities into Asset Managers and investment Banks, including those Asset Management companies concerned with the management of alternative investments (hedge funds and fund of hedge funds).
With a focus on honesty and quality of service, Khal has been recruiting for a number of prestigious businesses for 15 years and continues to be in many cases their first port of call.
Outside of recruitment Khal enjoys keeping fit and has undertaken a number of physical challenges including a number of Crossfit competitions . Since Khal’s Boxing days are now sadly firmly in the past he maintains a keen interest in most sports (from his armchair), is an avid car fanatic, enjoys film and cinema, fine establishments (bars / restaurants) and travel.
As a Business and Management graduate from The University of Lincoln, Cameron started his career as a Researcher at Bailey Fisher Executive Search supporting the Partners on a range of C-suite and board level roles in Technology, Life Sciences, Healthcare and Finance. Cameron heads up the research department for Finatal, supporting the consultants with his extensive candidate and specialist market knowledge, assisting on all retained and CFO searches. Cameron will ensure he has an in-depth knowledge of all his candidates ensuring the best service for placements in their new position.
Caspar joined Finatal in June 2015 and heads up the interim management team, specifically looking after the Interim Management/CFO practice. Coming from a recruitment background, Caspar previously worked for Randstad and Trillium Associates in his earlier career.
Jamie joined Finatal in 2017 bringing with him over 5 years’ experience of recruiting in London’s accountancy and finance market. He has operated at the qualified end of the market on both an interim and permanent capacity, priding himself on delivering genuine consultancy to both clients and candidates. This approach has resulted in valuable long term relationships with senior finance professionals across SME and FTSE businesses.
Chris has always had a very keen interest in how and why people behave the way they do and in turn completed a 1st Class Degree in Psychology. Chris joined the business as a graduate in our interim team, proving that hard work and pure dedication pays off, he has worked his way through Senior Consultant level to managing the interim finance team. Chris also counts himself as a keen sports person having played football and water polo to a high level in the past!
Dominic joined Finatal in July 2017 and works on the interim team with a focus on interim management / CFO roles. Prior to joining Finatal he worked for an investment bank boutique where he worked on M&A in the U.K & Germany. Dominic is a Business with Economics graduate from the University of Brighton and graduate in 2016.
Outside of work Dominic enjoys skiing, squash and plays competitive hockey
Chris joined Finatal in September 2018 as part of the interim team; focusing on placing Finance Directors and CFOs. Chris previously worked in the property industry as a Lettings Manager but has always been interested in Financial Recruitment. In his spare time, Chris is a self-taught guitarist who likes to perform at his local community centre every weekend.
Ishtah graduated in Modern Languages and International Relations and went onto become an Accountant for a law firm. She is fluent in French, Spanish, Creole and English and is keen to learn another language. Ishtah is a trained yoga teacher so in her spare time, teaches yoga. Ishtah has previously volunteered as a Marine Project Developer in Mauritius with her focus on coral reef regeneration.
Ellie joined Finatal in 2017 after relocating back to the UK after spending 12 years living in Australia. With a degree in Business Administration/Finance, Ellie sits on the permanent finance team as a recruitment consultant. Her background is in Fitness and has spent the last few years running her own business as a personal trainer.
Her passions include food, horse riding and working out.
Oli joined Finatal early 2018 on the Permanent Team after studying Politics and Journalism at the University of Derby. He decided that a life in Westminster or Fleet Street wasn’t for him and turned his attention to the world of Finance recruitment. Oli’s keen interest in business and finance developed over his time at university and has pursued that interest into his recruitment career. He is also a keen sportsman and has played football and golf to a high level as well as playing every other sport pretty badly. This is as well as being an avid watch enthusiast.
Ben is a graduate from the University of Bristol with a Bachelors in Philosophy. He joined Finatal after making a career move from Programme management within the Defence industry. Ben came into recruitment to pursue his interest in working with people and his drive for success. He is currently working hard to build his network and develop a clear understanding of the private equity market. Outside of work, Ben is considers himself an avid skier and enjoys developing his cooking skills in the kitchen.
Dylan started Finatal with years of experience in sales and financial advisory roles. He grew up in japan where he completed his studies and learnt fluent japanese. Dylan likes to attend corporate events as well as keeping up-to-date with the latest financial news. Dylan has a particular interest in F1, racing, sports cars and luxury watches.
Lizzy graduated with an English Language and Linguistics degree and went on to go travelling in Australia, Bali, North America and New Zealand. Lizzy decided to kick-start her passion for recruitment by joining our permanent team in 2018. Lizzy has previously volunteered as a Conservation Intern for an animal welfare charity and can speak fluent Welsh!
Jack joined Finatal in 2017 and has since become a Senior Consultant for the Interim team. He is a graduate of University of Nottingham with a First-class degree in English and Philosophy - specialising in Advanced Metaethics, Freudian Psychoanalytics and Dystopian Fiction in his final year. Jack has a pending publication on Aldous Huxley and William Blake. When he wasn’t busy being a nerd, Jack was a white-collar heavyweight boxer and a 1st team prop in Rugby League… Weird mix.
Laurie joined Finatal in 2018 and works on the interim team with a focus on junior Financial Accounts up to Financial Controllers. He has a good knowledge in accounting stemming from his education and time at university. Laurie is a business and management graduate from the University of Portsmouth with a 2:1 and 1st class honours in his accounting modules. He played Semi-professional football for a number of years and represented Kent county playing as a centre back. In his spare time he likes to exercise and read up on business and political affairs.
Lily joined Finatal after working in banking for 2 years. She has a strong interest in meeting and building relationships with people. In her spare time she is involved within politics, is an avid skier and enjoys playing badminton.
Danielle graduated from Lancaster with a First Class Degree in English Literature, Creative Writing & Practice and moved straight to Australia! She managed an Asian-fusion bar as well as sitting at the industrial desk of Chandler Macleod in Canberra. After nearly five years of living and travelling abroad, she has now returned to the UK to join Finatal’s Interim Team. When she isn’t at the gym, Danielle enjoys going to music events and trying out new vegan restaurants around London.
Shamieka joined Finatal in 2018 as an Interim Consultant after graduating in LLB Law with American Law from UEA. During this time, she spent one year working as a Legal Intern in Houston, Texas. She returned to the UK and realised she wanted to work in recruitment and consultancy. In her spare time, Shamieka enjoys competing in athletics and is part of a running team in her local town.
Kasia joined the business in 2012. She organises the smooth running of the office in addition to supervising our admin team in India and also oversees the financial aspects of the Interim business.
Laura has spent 10 years subsequent to studying branding and marketing at The University of Leeds, working within the world of brand management for some well-known popular brands. Venturing into the world of private equity recruitment in 2015, Laura joined our Finatal team with a fond appreciation for the colour purple! Laura manages all of Finatal’s brand activation’s, social media and marketing activity.
Leila joined Finatal in 2018 and organises our internal and external communications. Leila graduated from Brighton with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business with a passion for Digital Marketing. She enjoys reading blogs and exploring different marketing strategies. In her spare time, she stays active in the gym and is currently learning Spanish.
Sophie joined us with over 7 years of experience in the recruitment industry. She managed a team of consultants and created a department worth £1m. Sophie now uses her expertise to manage recruitment and training at Finatal. When she can, Sophie likes to travel to different countries and experience a variety of cultures – she has been abroad 5 times this year!
Born in Macau but educated in the UK, Lena went on to graduate from Kingston University with a 2.1 degree in Business Management. Lena began her career in luxury retail and had moved on to work as a Recruitment Consultant for the last couple of years. With her acute recruitment knowledge, Lena has joined Finatal in May 2018 as PA to CEO, Managing Director and Director, she also looks after all office related issues.
In her spare time, Lena loves sampling new restaurants and creating her own cooking recipes. Lena loves meeting new people, different cultures and learning languages and she speaks Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese and is now starting to learn Finnish.
