This is a hands-on role supporting the finance leadership team and will suit a technically strong qualified accountant who is comfortable operating across both financial reporting and management accounting. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining robust financial controls, delivering high-quality reporting, and supporting the wider business through a period of growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee group financial reporting, month-end close and statutory accounting processes.
  • Partner closely with both the management accounting and financial accounting teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Maintain strong balance sheet control and governance across the group.
  • Support audit delivery and act as a key point of contact for external advisors.
  • Prepare and review technical accounting papers, accounting treatments and financial disclosures.
  • Drive improvements in financial controls, processes and reporting quality.
  • Support senior stakeholders with financial analysis and decision-making.
  • Assist with acquisition activity, integration projects and related accounting where required.

Candidate Profile

  • ACA or ACCA qualified.
  • Strong technical accounting and financial reporting background.
  • Experience within a professional services business, ideally with exposure to recurring revenue contracts.
  • Comfortable operating in a hands-on environment and working across both reporting and management accounting.
  • Previous experience within a private equity-backed business is advantageous.
  • Exposure to M&A, acquisition accounting or business integrations would be highly desirable.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively alongside senior finance leadership.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, PE-backed organisation and make an immediate impact in a broad and commercially focused Group Financial Controller role.
