Position Overview
Finatal is seeking a highly motivated AI Operations Specialist based in Lisbon to manage the operational lifecycle of AI and machine learning models on Snowflake. You will ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of AI/ML solutions, bridging development and using advanced MLOps practices tailored to Snowflake’s data ecosystem to deliver seamless AI-powered insights to the business.
Key Responsibilities
· Build and maintain pipelines alongside data scientists for AI/ML model deployment.
· Monitor AI systems to detect anomalies or performance issues.
· Develop dashboards to track system performance metrics.
· Analyze and improve model inference times and efficiency, through identifying bottlenecks in data pipelines and managing cloud resources.
· Collaborate with data engineers to ensure high-quality data availability.
· Automate data validation, anomaly detection, and error correction.
· Apply MLOps best practices to enhance model lifecycle management.
Essential Skills:
· Expertise in Snowflake, including Snowpark, virtual warehouses and query performance optimization.
· Strong foundation in AI/ML principles, with practical experience in deploying and monitoring models in production, especially Snowflake-native ML.
· Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines tailored for AI/ML workflows.
· Experience working with Python and SQL within Snowflake environments.
Experience Required
· Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
· 3+ years managing AI/ML models, with at least 1 year in Snowflake environments.
· Experience with Azure and Snowflake integration.
· Certifications in Snowflake, AI/ML, or cloud platforms.
· Familiarity with tools like dbt, MLFlow, or Airflow.
