The role:
Finatal is working with an innovative and high-performing private equity fund looking to hire an Analyst into their Operating team. The role will involve helping to drive value creation within the fund’s portfolio companies. This is a cross-functional role, providing the Analyst with a unique learning opportunity from experts in Procurement, M&A, Growth, Leadership and Finance. Initially, the Analyst will work with the Procurement Director to improve the procurement strategy at portfolio companies. This will involve doing vendor analysis, spend mapping, and working with the C-suite at the PortCos to identify opportunities for value creation. The role requires a “can do” attitude and a willingness to deep dive into specific purchased commodities to develop the procurement transformation plan. The Analyst would also support during the execution of identified procurement initiatives within portfolio companies.
The Requirements:
- 2-4 years’ experience post-university
- Strong quantitative analysis skills with substantial experience owning data-heavy workstreams (must be extremely comfortable in Excel)
- Thoughtfulness, with the ability to see a problem from multiple angles before jumping to conclusions
- Self-motivation with a strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to deliver value
- Comfort with messy data and ambiguity
