Finatal are currently partnering with a PE-backed, multi-site healthcare services business. Following recent investment and a broader digital transformation programme, the business has successfully implemented a Microsoft Fabric and Power BI proof of concept and is now looking to hire its first dedicated BI Analyst their first dedicated BI Analyst to build out reporting capability and embed data-driven decision making across the organisation.
This is a foundational hire, sitting at the intersection of Finance, Technology and Operations, with responsibility for developing reporting and dashboards and presenting insight to senior stakeholders, including the executive team. In the longer term, there is clear scope to step into a lead role, shaping the data strategy and building out a small team as the function matures. The business is a fast-growing organisation operating in a regulated environment.
Role:
- Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will take ownership of designing and delivering Power BI dashboards, translating data into clear, actionable insights aligned to core business objectives.
- You will work closely with Finance, IT, Digital and operational stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, define organisation-wide KPIs, and shape use cases, and deliver insight that supports operational and strategic decision making.
- Acting as the bridge between business and data, you will ensure data definitions, logic and outputs are consistent and trusted, while feeding requirements back into the evolving Microsoft Fabric data platform.
- This is a hands-on delivery role, moving the organisation from proof of concept into business-as-usual reporting utilising SQL and Power BI. You will be responsible for improving reporting standards, reducing manual processes, and enabling greater self-service capability.
- As the first BI hire, you will play a key role in shaping how data is used across the business, with scope to influence tooling, processes, and the longer-term direction of the data function.
Requirements:
- Strong technical capability across Power BI, SQL, and data modelling, with exposure to Microsoft Fabric or Azure-based data platforms.
- Experience in a hands-on BI, Data Analyst or Business Analyst role, delivering reporting and insight in a commercial environment.
- Confident stakeholder manager, able to engage with non-technical teams, challenge requirements, and communicate insight clearly to senior stakeholders.
- Experience operating in regulated, multi-site or operationally complex environments would be advantageous.
