The opportunity
A privately owned SaaS business is looking for an experienced CFO who can help them secure VC or PE funding in the next 6 months. They are looking to execute a “buy & build strategy” alongside organic growth to scale revenues from £15m to £50m over the next 2/3 years. There will be an international focus, targeting deals across the UK, EU, US and Australasia to increase market share and geographical footprint. The business is already profitable and has both enterprise and mid-tier clients.
Key responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for reporting, forecasts, budget and financial control
- Responsible for financial strategy, planning and forecasts
- Responsible for management reporting to the management and the board
- Responsible for the development of relevant KPI’s and profit analysis for the company and acquired companies
- Support and act as a sounding board to the CEO
- Responsible for legal accounting, including an annual audit and other reporting requirements ensuring that overall financial reporting is correct, effective and streamlined
- Responsible for financing issues and contacts / relationships with external stakeholders (e.g., banks)
- Responsible for due diligence processes and transaction documentation
Key requirements
- Demonstrable experience in a CFO role
- Previously worked for a high growth software/ SaaS business
- M&A experience – supported on bolt on acquisitions as well as PE or VC transactions
- Experience working in a leveraged environment, managing cashflow and covenants
- Experienced in international reporting
