The company is a commercial financing company serving the lower middle market, offering innovative financial solutions across industries including consumer products, software, and technology. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will report directly to the CEO and play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s financial strategy, driving operational efficiency, and supporting growth initiatives. The CFO will oversee financial planning, reporting, capital management, and risk compliance while working closely with senior leadership to scale operations and enhance profitability. This role requires expertise in specialty finance and private credit, with a focus on managing growth and maintaining financial discipline.
Requirements:
- 15+ years of senior financial leadership experience, ideally in private credit, asset management, or specialty finance.
- Expertise in financial strategy, capital markets, and risk management.
- Familiarity with loan accounting, syndicated bank loan agreements, and capital market operations.
- Proficiency with Sage Intacct and
- Experience leading complex capital raises and recapitalizations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA/CPA preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with senior leadership and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and optimize monthly close processes to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.
- Implement scalable systems, processes, and controls to support operational growth.
- Deliver comprehensive financial reports to stakeholders and resolve operational challenges, including system and technology issues.
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with growth objectives.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning efforts.
- Provide insights to the CEO and Board of Directors on risks, opportunities, and performance.
- Optimize funding structures to reduce costs and support expansion into new markets and larger transactions.
- Lead capital-raising efforts and maintain relationships with investors, lenders, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure robust credit and risk management practices and maintain regulatory compliance.
- Monitor and mitigate financial risks while enhancing operational transparency.
- Drive financial due diligence and integration of acquisitions to expand offerings.
- Leverage expertise in integrating high-performing teams and assets.
