Finatal is partnering with a high-growth B2B SaaS business, set to disrupt a dynamic market. Following a platform investment from a leading Private Equity house, they are on the hunt for a CFO to build out the finance function, implement systems and innovate processes, with finance at the forefront of growth.

Working closely with the board and investors, the right person will play a pivotal role in the business’ forecasted expansion from £1.5m to £10m EBITDA over the course of this funding round.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to step up into their first CFO role and take autonomous ownership of the finance strategy in a best-in-class Private Equity-backed business.

The Role:

As the CFO, you will shape the future of the organisation. Your expertise in navigating the financial complexities of B2B SaaS businesses will be instrumental in propelling the company through ambitious growth throughout the Private Equity investment cycle. You will collaborate closely with the board to develop and execute financial strategies that optimize performance and create value.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide strategic financial leadership, driving growth and profitability.
  • Build, retain and lead a dynamic finance function.
  • Autonomously implement efficient and scalable financial processes and systems
  • Establish robust controls and risk management practices to safeguard assets.
  • Implement SaaS-specific KPIs to support growth objectives
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders to evaluate potential growth opportunities and strategies.
  • Serve as a key advisor to the CEO and board of directors on all financial matters.

Key requirements

  • Qualified Accountant – ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Proven track record of success as a CFO or senior finance position in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Experience scaling a SaaS business in a PE-backed environment.
  • Strong understanding of B2B SaaS business models, revenue recognition, and subscription metrics.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive financial performance and operational excellence.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and data-driven mindset.
