A PE backed B2B SaaS company is seeking a CFO/COO to support on executing their 3-5 year strategic plan. The business has grown circa 40% YoY and had been run as a profitable bootstrapped business prior to investment in 2023. They have assembled a “best in class” C-suite hiring an experienced Chair, CRO and CMO all of whom have worked for PE backed SaaS businesses who have successfully exited. They now need a CFO/COO to build high performing finance and ops teams who can deliver actionable insight to drive strategic decision making.

Role Overview:

As CFO/COO, you will wear two key hats in the company. Approximately two-thirds of your time will be dedicated to overseeing financial operations, including reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. The remaining third will focus on key operational areas like revenue operations, customer success, and people management, ensuring alignment between strategy and execution across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Finance (CFO) – 2/3 of time:

  • Lead the finance function, providing accurate and timely financial reporting, forecasts, and budgets.
  • Partner with the CEO and Private Equity stakeholders on financial strategy, investment planning, and cash flow management.
  • Oversee all financial operations, including compliance, audits, and risk management.
  • Develop and refine financial models to guide decision-making and track performance.
  • Ensure financial metrics align with overall business strategy, enabling sustainable growth and profitability.

Operations (COO) – 1/3 of time:

  • Lead cross-functional teams across revenue operations, customer success, and people operations.
  • Optimise processes in sales and marketing operations to drive scalable revenue growth.
  • Improve customer success strategies, increasing retention and lifetime value.
  • Oversee people operations, including talent acquisition, employee development, and culture building.
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure operational excellence and deliver measurable results.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a CFO, COO, or in a similar dual-role capacity, ideally within a Private Equity-backed, high-growth SaaS company.
  • Strong financial acumen with hands-on experience in financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
  • Operational expertise in RevOps, customer success, and people management in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams, streamline operations, and drive business performance.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A strategic, analytical thinker who can also execute tactically.
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
