They are consolidating a fragmented market through strategic acquisitions and organic growth. As they continue to scale, they are seeking an experienced and strategic CFO to join their executive team and drive their financial strategy forward.
As the CFO, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial direction of the company. You will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring sound financial management, and leading the company’s M&A activities. Your strategic insights will be crucial in identifying acquisition targets, managing due diligence processes, and ensuring seamless integration post-acquisition. This role demands a seasoned finance leader with a strong background in M&A within a private equity-backed environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s ambitious growth objectives, ensuring long-term financial stability and profitability.
- Lead the identification, evaluation, and execution of acquisition opportunities. Manage the entire M&A process, including due diligence, negotiations, and integration of acquired entities.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling to support strategic decision-making. Provide insightful analysis to the CEO and board to drive business performance.
- Ensure robust financial controls and reporting systems are in place. Drive efficiency in finance operations, optimising cash flow management, working capital, and cost controls.
- Act as the primary financial liaison with private equity investors, board members, and external stakeholders.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience at CFO level, with a significant track record in M&A, ideally within a private equity-backed professional services or related business.
- In-depth knowledge of financial planning, analysis, and reporting. Proven ability to lead complex M&A transactions from inception to integration.
- Qualified Accountant – ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA or equivalent
- Exceptional strategic thinking, with the ability to translate business goals into actionable financial plans.
- Strong negotiation skills and a deep understanding of corporate finance and capital markets.
