The Opportunity
We are seeking a commercially astute CFO to join the executive leadership team. This is a pivotal role to shape and deliver the next phase of growth, while ensuring the financial, operational, and strategic rigour required to succeed in a competitive global eCommerce environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and Board, driving financial strategy to support growth and international expansion.
- Own financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and actionable insight.
- Lead and develop the finance team, embedding strong processes, controls, and performance culture.
- Partner with supply chain, operations, and merchandising to optimise stock management, working capital, and margin improvement.
- Build robust cash management processes and oversee relationships with banks, investors, and key stakeholders.
- Play a critical role in private equity reporting, value creation planning, and potential future transactions.
- Drive continuous improvement across finance, systems, and data to support scalability.
Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience as a CFO within eCommerce, retail, or consumer-facing businesses.
- Strong understanding of stock, supply chain, and working capital management in a high-growth, product-led business.
- Track record of delivering commercial insight, improving profitability, and supporting international expansion.
- Experienced in a private equity–backed environment, comfortable with pace, complexity, and stakeholder engagement.
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, but equally capable of strategic vision and leadership.
- Collaborative and resilient leader with strong communication skills and the ability to inspire teams.
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
