A high-performing, US-based (NYC) B2B SaaS company, with revenues of $10m and an impressive EBITDA of $5m, is looking for an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead its financial operations. The business, having recently secured funding from a London-based growth investor, is poised for significant expansion, with plans to grow EBITDA to $15m in the next 3-5 years, before a potential exit. 

This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious CFO to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and play a critical role in steering the company towards its financial goals while positioning it for a successful sale. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Drive the overall financial strategy, with a focus on scaling EBITDA from $5m to $15m over the next 3-5 years. 
  • Work closely with the CEO, board, and investors to shape key strategic decisions, providing insights on financial performance, cash flow, and profitability. 
  • Oversee all financial operations, including monthly reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives. 
  • Lead the preparation of financial models, business valuations, and other key financial metrics to support growth and strategic decision-making. 
  • Manage the investor relations process, ensuring clear and timely communication of financial performance and strategic progress. 
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and margin improvement, ensuring that the company remains financially disciplined while driving growth. 
  • Support the company’s exit strategy, providing leadership during the due diligence process and ensuring the business is positioned for a successful sale. 
  • Develop and lead a high-performing finance team, driving continuous improvement in financial reporting and operational efficiency. 
  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax requirements across the organisation. 

Key Requirements: 

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification, with significant experience in a senior finance role within a B2B SaaS or tech business. 
  • Proven track record of leading the financial strategy in a high-growth, venture or private equity-backed business. 
  • Strong understanding of SaaS financial metrics, KPIs, and business models, with a particular focus on driving EBITDA growth. 
  • Experience managing relationships with growth investors, stakeholders, and external auditors. 
  • Previous involvement in preparing a company for a sale or exit, including overseeing financial due diligence and transaction processes. 
  • Highly effective communicator with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, including the board and investors. 
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience in building and mentoring finance teams to scale with business growth. 
  • Ability to work remotely while travelling to London for monthly meetings. Flexibility to adapt to time zone differences is essential
