Finatal are partnering with a dynamic, private equity-backed design business in search of a commercially astute and technically strong CFO. With circa £5m EBITDA and ambitious international growth plans, the company is at an exciting inflection point — expanding both online direct-to-consumer and through established B2B retail partnerships.
This is a hands-on, strategic leadership role for a CFO who is eager to professionalise and scale a high-growth, design-led organisation post-investment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the finance function and professionalise systems, controls, and reporting in line with PE expectations
- Act as a key business partner to the CEO and wider leadership team, driving commercial decision-making
- Own financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis
- Provide strategic insight on international expansion, pricing, and profitability
- Oversee working capital and cash management, including inventory and supply chain finance
- Ensure compliance with royalty, licensing, and contractual obligations
- Support M&A and potential future exit planning alongside the private equity partners
Key Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- Experience in a PE-backed or fast-paced growth environment
- Commercially savvy with a proven track record of business partnering at senior level
- Strong understanding of stock, royalties, and/or licensor models
- Familiarity with e-commerce, retail, or design/consumer products sectors
- Hands-on approach – comfortable rolling up sleeves and building a best-in-class finance function
- Confident communicator, capable of influencing at board level and beyond
