The company is growing rapidly and is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to join its leadership team and drive the next phase of growth. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead financial strategy and fundraising efforts to ensure long-term financial sustainability.
- Professionalise and optimise financial processes and controls to support scaling.
- Oversee day-to-day financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow.
- Guide the company through high-growth phases, preparing for potential exits (M&A, secondary buyout, IPO etc.)
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
Key Requirements:
- VC/PE-Backed Company Experience: Must have significant experience working in a venture capital (VC) or private equity (PE) backed company, particularly in ClimateTech or sustainability-focused industries. The candidate must understand the specific challenges and expectations of investors in these environments.
- Successful Fundraising Experience: Proven track record in leading successful fundraising efforts, including Series A rounds and beyond. The candidate must be able to actively engage with investors, structure financial strategies, and manage relationships with venture capitalists and private equity partners.
- Finance Function Professionalisation: Strong ability to implement, streamline, and scale financial processes, driving operational excellence as the company grows.
- Scaling to Exit: Ideally, the candidate has hands-on experience in scaling a company through high-growth phases and has played a pivotal role in leading the company to a successful exit, such as an acquisition or IPO.
