The opportunity 

Finatal is working exclusively with a rapidly scaling e-commerce business as they undergo rapid professionalization, modernisation, and growth in the Technology team.  

As the Team Lead for this newly created CloudOps team you will play a central role in the business.You will support software development and be responsible for providing cloud and SaaS-based services, applications, and tools.  

Your main tasks include designing, developing, testing, operating, and continuously improving these systems. Your contribution is crucial to the efficiency, quality, and cost optimization of our development and business processes. 

Responsibility and experience required  

  • You will lead a team of CloudOps engineers to ensure the stability, availability, and performance of the cloud systems and the applications running on them. 
  • You are responsible for recruiting new team members as well as providing leadership, coaching, and career development. 
  • Fostering a collaborative and supportive environment where team members can grow and increase their productivity  
  • You will design and implement cloud solutions with a particular focus on high availability and scalability. 
  • You develop and maintain roadmaps and task distributions for the CloudOps team.. 
  • You identify and implement measures to improve reliability, scalability, and efficiency in various cloud environments (Azure, GCP). 
  • You support the development of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts (e.g., Ansible, Terraform). 
  • To optimize the existing infrastructure, including cost optimization and improvement of operations 
  • You provide hands-on support in incident management and emergency preparedness (Backup & Recovery, Disaster Recovery). 
  • To ensure transparency of operational quality, risks, costs, and time-to-market, you define, introduce, and provide operational KPIs.
