About the Role: We are excited to present an exclusive opportunity for a skilled Data Analyst Contractor specializing in financial data reporting. Our client, a prestigious PE-backed professional services business, is seeking an experienced professional to join their team on a six-month contract. This role is pivotal in analyzing and interpreting financial data to deliver actionable insights, aiding strategic decision-making processes within a dynamic and growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed financial reports and dashboards using Power BI.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business objectives.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to understand and fulfill reporting requirements.
  • Integrate diverse data sources ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
  • Conduct advanced data analysis and visualization to support financial planning and strategic initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data reporting and connectivity.
  • Maintain and optimize existing reporting solutions for enhanced performance and scalability.
  • Present data findings and strategic recommendations to senior management and stakeholders effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst with a focus on financial data reporting.
  • Strong background working within private equity-backed organizations.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and other relevant BI tools.
  • Extensive experience in financial data modeling, analysis, and visualization.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Keen attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with additional BI tools and technologies.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting standards and practices.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong project management capabilities.
