Finatal is currently working exclusively with one of the fastest-growing e-commerce / re-commerce businesses in the education sector, operating under a circular model with a strong focus on ESG and sustainability. They have recently received Private Equity investment and undergone an acquisition expanding to the USA and Europe and are now looking for an experienced Finance & Data Analyst to join their FP&A team working closely with the Head of FP&A, CFO and Head of Analytics to support their internal finance team with key financial and non-financial business reporting.

Role:

· Support the Head of FP&A and CFO, with timely trading reports and financial performance analysis, consolidation and automated Tableau dashboards and manual MS Excel reporting.

· Development of reporting from the ground up, including intra-month reporting.

· Identifying and challenging the business on areas of improvement to deliver change.

· You will be building financial models to support decisions such as calculating IRR, NPV and Payback with associated sensitivity analysis.

· As the subject matter expert in data and reporting for the FP&A team in the new system Vena, working with the central data team to ensure correct data is uploaded.

· Opportunity to get involved in special projects including M&A, international expansion, and new finance systems.

Requirements:

· Technical expertise working as a Data Analyst within a Finance environment manipulating data with SQL (with ability to perform joins and subqueries) and exceptional visualisation skills in Tableau.

· Commercial knowledge of key business areas and metrics including sales, margins, profits, inventory, stock acquisition, customer metrics and marketing channel ROAS.

· Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with experience working and challenging C-Suite stakeholders, this role will be working closely with the CFO, Head of FP&A, Commercial team and CCO as well as technical stakeholders including the Head of Data and Head of Consumer Analytics.

· Experience working with modelling tools (e.g., Anaplan, Vena, Datrails, Adaptive Insights)

· Beneficial to have an accounting qualification – e.g., ACA, CIMA, ACCA
