The Opportunity
Finatal is currently engaged with a reputable mid-market Private Equity fund that currently has circa £1bn AUM. They specialise in mid-market investments across the healthcare, financial services, industrial, and consumer industries and are now searching for a Data Value Creation Lead to join the growing Value Creation team, where you will be working alongside the Head of Portfolio Value Creation and a Lead Data Scientist (with a view for 1 further hire in 2025). You will be partnering with portfolio CEOs/CFOs, performing a mixture of hands-on and strategical value creation work around data & analytics.
Role
- Working within the Value Creation team you will foster relationships across the portfolio CFOs and CEOs to understand key business problems and bottlenecks, providing analysis to better strategic decision-making.
- This role will be a mixture of high-level strategic work involving consulting current and newly invested portfolio companies on how data can be used to identify commercial, people, and financial opportunities that will optimise business performance.
- Collaborating with the Lead Data Scientist you will develop analytical solutions and dashboards utilising SQL, Python, Power BI and Alteryx with an aim to simplify and better understand key areas for growth within specific portfolios driving ROI.
Requirements
- Over 5 years of experience in a commercial Data Analytics role, with experience manipulating and interpreting large data sets to solve complex business problems.
- One of your key strengths is creating relationships with a wide range of stakeholders both technical and not, with an ability to present strategic insights and trends to executives.
- A background in a client-facing role, strategic consulting or Private Equity is important.
- You will have technical ability across SQL, Python and visualisation tools such as Power BI and Alteryx.
- A degree in a related subject (data science, AI, computer science, statistics) would be beneficial
