Finatal is currently partnering with a private equity-backed professional services business that is aggressively pursuing a buy-and-build strategy.

This new position has been created due to a strong pipeline of bolt-on acquisitions. You will be responsible for managing, overseeing, and delivering the financial due diligence conducted in-house.

Reporting to the M&A Manager, you will undertake typical FDD analyses, including assessing Quality of Earnings and performing historical financial analysis. You will also create forecasting models for target acquisitions to identify growth opportunities. This role involves liaising with other internal due diligence streams to compile findings into a report for submission to the Acquisition Committee for approval.

This position is ideal for newly qualified candidates looking to transition into a deals role, as well as for those with a background in transaction services.

The role offers progression opportunities and involvement in broader aspects of deals, such as financial modeling of capital and income returns for prospects in early negotiations, pre-heads of terms.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive FDD on potential acquisition targets, analyzing financial statements, historical performance, and key metrics.
  • Prepare detailed FDD reports highlighting findings, risks, and opportunities to inform decision-making.
  • Model capital and income returns for prospects in early negotiations, pre-heads of terms.

Requirements:

  • ACA / ACCA / CA qualified
  • Currently working within a transaction services team at a reputable accountancy firm, performing financial due diligence
  • Professional services deal experience (advantageous)
