The Opportunity: 

Finatal is partnering with a key industry player in the Education Industry, a SaaS/EdTech organisation, driven to innovate and expand in the UK and European markets. The business has quickly become a key leader in the industry and remains people led with a focus to become a one-stop shop across the market.  

With a strong £30m turnover and a positive EBITDA, the business is backed by significant private equity and are on an ambitious path towards an exit within the next three years. The business operates with nearly 50% of the current market, so a clear trajectory of growth and market share expansion is behind the strategic decisions.  

As a highly acquisitive (10+ to date) and growth-focused business, they are committed to leveraging cutting-edge technology and data insights to propel their success. 

The Role: 

We are seeking a dynamic and strategically-minded Finance Business Partner to join our high-performing team. This role is pivotal in driving the commercial and business activities of our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess a professional finance qualification and extensive experience within a recurring revenue or SaaS revenue model.  

You will work closely with and report into the COO with a dotted line into both the CCO and CFO, as well as other senior stakeholders, to influence and drive strategic decisions. The CCO & COO come with a wealth of industry and Private Equity experience, as well as leveraging and learning from a dynamic and established CFO to drive change and finance excellence across the business.  

Commercial Analysis: Lead detailed analysis on churn, growth, and overall business performance. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to drive strategic decisions. 

Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with senior non-finance stakeholders, including investors, executives, and operations leaders. Challenge and drive change through effective communication and financial acumen. 

Data Management: Manage and interpret large data sets to support business strategies and operational improvements. Be tech-savvy and comfortable with complex financial systems and tools. 

Travel Requirements: The role involves travel across the UK and Europe. The business operates on a traditional hybrid model, with some weeks requiring office presence and others involving overnight stays, all covered by the business. 

The Requirements: 

Professional Qualification: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent. 

SaaS Experience: Proven track record in a SaaS or recurring revenue environment. 

Analytical Skills: Advanced analytical skills with experience handling large data sets. 

Communication: Strong gravitas and communication skills, capable of partnering with and influencing senior stakeholders. 

Tech-Savvy: High level of comfort with technology and financial systems. 

Ambitious Nature: A proactive and ambitious approach to driving business growth and change.
