The industry leader in luxury, multisite beauty services, is seeking a Finance Controller with exceptional technical capabilities and a strong personality to help them shape the future of their growing brand.
The Responsibilities
Financial Management: Budgeting and Forecasting and Cash Flow Management
Cost Control: Analyse and control operational costs, identifying areas for savings without compromising service quality.
Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for individual salons and the overall business.
KPI Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue per site, profitability margins, and labor cost percentages.
Variance Analysis: Investigate variances between actual and budgeted figures, providing explanations and recommendations.
Strategic Planning and Support: Growth Strategy and decision-making support.
Compliance and Risk Management: Regulatory Compliance, internal Controls and audit coordination.
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor finance staff, such as AP and AR accountants , ensuring efficient day-to-day operations.
Technology and Systems: Manage financial system (Xero), including accounting software and point-of-sale (POS) integrations, to ensure seamless data flow across locations.
Operational Oversight for Multisite Businesses: Site-Specific Analysis, inventory management and payroll oversight.
Critical assessment of existing processes: Controls and systems and the drive to improve and bring the team to best in class.
The Requirements
A driven and confident technical finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You must have:
- Proven experience in a senior financial role, within a multisite retail, beauty, franchise or hospitality business.
- Professional qualifications (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to deliver actionable insights from financial data.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the confidence to influence and challenge at all levels.
