A Venture Capital backed online marketplace is seeking a Finance Director to drive the strategic growth of the business. The business is on a trajectory to further scale and disrupt the market, with current revenue of c. £25m. As finance director, you will not only lead in the technical aspects of finance but also have the strategic mindset to drive operational success and continue to deliver long-term value for the business. You will be hands-on in the day-to-day financial operations, including financial reporting, cash management and forecasting, while also playing a pivotal role in shaping the long-term growth strategy. You will work closely with the senior leadership team and investors to ensure financial goals align with business objectives and to provide insights that support decision-making and strategic growth initiatives.
Requirements:
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Proven experience as a Finance Director or in a senior financial leadership role
Experience working within a marketplace business, ideally with Private Equity/ Venture Capital investment.
Proven experience scaling marketplace businesses or similar businesses, with demonstrated success in driving value creation
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organisation
Excellent financial modelling and analytical skills.
