Finatal is working with a private equity-backed real estate company. The company is at a critical stage in its lifecycle embarking on an exciting scale-up journey. They are looking for a dynamic and strategic Finance Director to join their team and support growth.
The Opportunity
The Finance Director will play a pivotal role in shaping financial strategy and operational success. This role demands both hands-on operational expertise and strategic foresight. You will provide leadership and direction to the Finance function, optimising financial performance and delivering insightful analysis to support decision-making across the business.
The Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain effective financial processes, systems, and reporting.
- Oversee annual budgeting and re-forecasting processes.
- Deliver accurate cashflow forecasting and management.
- Proactively analyse key business metrics and collaborate on target setting and improvement plans.
- Partner with the CEO to provide financial analysis and guidance on business activities and drivers.
- Develop and optimise robust and compliant financial systems to support growth.
- Negotiate legal and commercial contracts.
- Establish and manage policies for risk and working capital management.
The Requirements
- Recognised finance and accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Experience within real estate is essential
- Experience as a Financial Controller, or similar role.
- Proven track record in management information and reporting improvements.
- Experience in professionalising finance processes and teams.
- Strong financial modelling and data analysis skills.
- Background in start-up, PE-backed, or investor-backed businesses is ideal.
