A rapidly growing, Private Equity-backed business operating in the B2C subscription space is seeking an accomplished and strategic Finance Director to join their dynamic leadership team. The business, with revenues of £50m and EBITDA of £10m, is currently on an acquisitive growth trajectory and is well-positioned to achieve a successful exit in the next 2 years, either through a trade sale or Secondary Buyout.
With a strong presence across the EMEA region, the company is committed to continuing its impressive growth while maintaining its financial stability. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the company’s financial strategy, supporting its expansion plans, and preparing the business for exit.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the finance function, overseeing a team of 6, ensuring effective financial management and controls.
- Partner with the Executive team to develop and execute growth strategies, particularly in relation to acquisitive expansion.
- Manage financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and analysis, ensuring clarity and insight for key stakeholders, including the Private Equity investors.
- Drive value creation initiatives, optimising profitability and cash flow management.
- Lead the preparation for the company’s exit strategy, ensuring all financial operations align with future goals.
- Maintain a robust financial infrastructure, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and internal standards.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the Board, providing financial insight and strategic guidance.
Experience & Skills Required
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified, or equivalent, with significant experience in a senior finance leadership role, ideally within a Private Equity-backed environment.
- Experience in the B2C subscription sector is highly advantageous.
- A track record of working on acquisitions and supporting businesses through periods of rapid growth.
- Strong understanding of financial modelling, planning, and forecasting.
- A clear understanding of the exit process and experience supporting businesses through exit preparations is desirable.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to develop and motivate a finance team.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with senior stakeholders, including Private Equity investors.
