The Role
As the first Finance hire, the Finance Director will be instrumental in building and scaling robust financial systems, processes, and controls from scratch. You’ll work directly with the founders and leadership team, offering strategic and commercial support to drive decision-making as the company grows.
Your responsibilities will include
- Designing and implementing financial systems, processes, and controls to support a scaling business.
- Partnering with leadership on pricing strategies, revenue modelling, and financial forecasting.
- Leading financial due diligence and integration of the acquired software business.
- Providing hands-on business partnering to key teams across the organisation.
- Managing cash flow and preparing the company for future funding rounds or strategic opportunities.
Key requirements
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven experience in tech start-ups or fast-scaling businesses.
- Strong understanding of software and hardware business models, including SaaS pricing and revenue strategies.
- A track record of building financial systems from the ground up in a dynamic environment.
- Commercial acumen to provide strategic support to non-financial stakeholders.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.
