Role Overview

Finatal is working with an ultra-high-growth marketing agency who have recently received PE investment. They are seeking a Finance Director who will be responsible for implementing and enhancing financial systems, improving controls, and developing robust reporting processes to meet the demands of a rapidly expanding business. Your insights and leadership will help drive commercial decision-making and ensure the company’s growth plans are fully supported.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and optimise financial systems for accurate and timely reporting, ensuring strong internal controls and compliance.
  • Streamline budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, and cash management processes to drive operational efficiency.
  • Provide clear, insightful management reports, financial dashboards, and variance analysis to stakeholders, including the Board and PE investors.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to department heads, offering financial insights to support budget management, growth initiatives, and investment opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of financial accountability and commercial awareness across the business.
  • Conduct financial scenario modelling to support both short-term and long-term growth plans.
  • Contribute to the company’s financial strategy and long-term planning, supporting M&A activities through financial analysis and due diligence.
  • Collaborate with leadership on capital allocation decisions and investor communications.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with extensive post-qualification experience.
  • Proven track record as a Finance Director or senior finance leader in a PE-backed, high-growth marketing business.
  • Experience in implementing financial systems and developing financial processes within a scaling organisation.
  • Strong understanding of UK and US financial standards and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence across a business, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Hands-on experience with financial modelling, scenario analysis, and commercial decision-making.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
