This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing, private equity-backed marketing agency in a newly created role. Having built a strong UK market presence, they are now accelerating expansion — scaling headcount to drive revenue and launching into the US market. They are looking for a commercially astute, hands-on Finance Director to join our leadership team and play a pivotal role in shaping the next phase of our success.

The Role:

This is not just a number-crunching role. As Finance Director, you will be a strategic partner to the CEO, COO and Board, combining commercial insight with operational excellence. You will lead all aspects of financial management — from reporting and forecasting to driving commercial decision-making — while ensuring the finance function is fit for purpose as the business scales internationally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the CEO and Board to shape growth strategy, expansion plans, and operational priorities.
  • Translate financial data into actionable insight to improve profitability, pricing, and client profitability analysis.
  • Oversee day-to-day finance operations, cash flow management, and working capital optimisation.
  • Manage stakeholder reporting, covenant compliance, and investor relations.
  • Scalable Finance Infrastructure – Implement systems, processes, and controls to support growth in multiple geographies.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a growing finance team.

About You:

We’re looking for a high-impact finance leader with experience in fast-paced, PE-backed, growth environments. You’ll be comfortable rolling up your sleeves while keeping sight of the bigger picture.

Essential Experience:

  • Proven track record as a Finance Director, or senior finance leader, in a private equity-backed business.
  • Strong understanding of marketing, creative, or professional services business models and revenue recognition.
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to influence strategic decisions and drive operational improvements.
  • Hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Experience managing international expansion — ideally into the US — is highly desirable.
