Role Overview:
Finatal is partnered with a private equity backed professional services business, seeking an experienced Finance Director to take responsibility for the overall leadership of the finance function, driving financial strategy, and ensuring the financial health of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the executive team to contribute to the development and execution of the company’s turnaround strategy and long-term business plans.
- Oversee all aspects of the finance function, ensuring robust financial systems and processes are in place to support the company’s objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
- Ensure that comprehensive budgeting and forecasting processes are carried out, regularly reviewed, and aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
- Take responsibility for cash flow management, ensuring the company maintains adequate liquidity and optimises working capital.
- Ensure that the company meets all regulatory and compliance requirements, maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity and governance.
- Provide accurate and timely financial reports to the board and investors, offering insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
- Act as a key liaison with private equity partners, auditors, and other external stakeholders.
Key Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Finance Director or in a senior financial leadership role, ideally within a private equity backed professional services environment.
- Demonstrated experience in business turnaround or transformation situations, with a track record of driving financial performance and growth.
- Strong understanding of financial management, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing finance team.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with key stakeholders and influencing decision-making.
