We are supporting a VC-backed B2B SaaS business with £15m ARR, entering a major acceleration phase with a clear roadmap to scale to £50m ARR over the next 24–36 months. Backed by top-tier venture investors and led by an ambitious founding team, the business has strong product-market fit, impressive net revenue retention, and a rapidly expanding international customer base. They are now hiring a commercially-minded Finance Director to help drive this next stage of growth.
The Role
This is a business-critical finance leadership role focused on scaling recurring revenues and building a finance function that enables growth, insight, and commercial decision-making. Working closely with the CEO and Board, you will shape financial strategy, sharpen SaaS performance metrics, and ensure capital is deployed effectively to accelerate ARR growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with the CEO and leadership team on growth strategy and business planning
- Driving ARR acceleration through commercial insight, pricing strategy, and unit economic analysis
- Owning forecasting, budgeting, KPI reporting and scenario modelling
- Building a scalable finance function with strong FP&A, revenue operations and financial control
- Implementing systems and processes to enable international scale
- Leading analysis of SaaS metrics including CAC, LTV, NRR, gross margin and payback
- Supporting future fundraising and investor relations activity
- Driving strategic decision-making across Sales, Customer Success and Product
About You
You’ll be an experienced SaaS finance leader who combines commercial acumen with operational rigour. You thrive in high-growth environments and understand what it takes to scale a recurring revenue model efficiently.
Ideal profile:
- Experience in B2B SaaS or subscription-based tech is essential
- Proven track record driving growth in a VC-backed business
- Strong understanding of SaaS metrics and data-driven decision making
- Experience building finance teams, processes and systems to support scale
- Confident business partner capable of influencing at C-suite and board level
- Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) preferred but not essential
