Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Financial Leadership: Provide clear financial direction and support the CEO in steering the business through its next phase of growth, ensuring alignment with investor expectations and strategic goals.
  • Mergers & Acquisitions: Lead the financial evaluation, due diligence, and integration of acquisitions, playing a key role in the company’s buy-and-build strategy.
  • Financial Planning & Reporting: Oversee all financial planning, budgeting, and reporting activities, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Team Development: Build and develop a high-performing finance team, capable of supporting the company’s rapid growth and increasing complexity.
  • Operational & Commercial Insight: Drive financial and operational efficiencies across all sites, identifying opportunities to enhance profitability and scale.
  • Investor Relations: Manage relationships with the Venture Capital fund, providing regular updates on financial performance, growth strategies, and potential risks.
  • Exit Preparation: Work closely with the CEO and investors to prepare the business for a successful exit, maximising value for all stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with significant post-qualification experience.
  • Proven track record as a Finance Director or in a similar senior financial role within a multi-site or rapidly growing business.
  • Strong experience in mergers and acquisitions, particularly in a buy-and-build environment.
  • Commercially astute, with the ability to provide strategic insight and drive business performance.
  • Hands-on approach with a willingness to engage in both high-level strategy and day-to-day financial management.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with experience in building and developing finance teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management abilities, particularly in managing investor relationships.
