Operating across four sites in London, the business currently generates revenues of just under £5 million. With ambitious plans for growth through acquisition, this business is on an exciting trajectory, aiming to scale significantly before a strategic exit.
The company is seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Director to join their senior leadership team. This is a pivotal role for an individual with a proven track record in driving financial performance, managing complex multi-site operations, and executing growth strategies in a buy-and-build environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership: Provide strategic financial direction and leadership to the business, ensuring alignment with the company’s growth objectives and investor expectations.
Mergers & Acquisitions: Lead the financial aspects of the company’s buy-and-build strategy, including financial due diligence, valuation, and integration of new acquisitions.
Financial Planning & Analysis: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, ensuring robust financial management and reporting across all sites.
Investor Relations: Manage relationships with the growth investor, providing regular updates on financial performance, growth initiatives, and potential risks.
Operational Efficiency: Drive operational improvements and efficiencies across the existing sites, with a focus on maximising profitability and scalability.
Team Management: Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Exit Strategy: Play a key role in preparing the business for a successful exit, working closely with the CEO and investors to maximise value.
Qualifications & Experience:
ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with substantial post-qualification experience.
Proven experience as a Finance Director or in a similar senior financial role within a multi-site, high-growth business.
Demonstrated expertise in mergers and acquisitions, particularly within a buy-and-build context.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive business strategy and performance.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience in investor relations.
Hands-on approach with the ability to operate both strategically and operationally
