Role Overview: The Finance Director will be the No1 in Finance, reporting directly to the CEO. This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the financial strategy, ensuring the company is on track to meet its ambitious growth and exit plans. This is a hands-on role requiring a strategic mindset, with the ability to manage day-to-day finance operations while also driving long-term value creation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Financial Leadership: The Finance Director will develop and implement the financial strategy in alignment with the company’s growth objectives, with a particular focus on maximising value ahead of the planned exit.
- Reporting & Analysis: The role involves overseeing all financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes, providing timely and accurate financial information to the CEO, Board, and Private Equity investors.
- Mergers & Acquisitions: The Finance Director will lead the financial due diligence and integration of acquisitions, ensuring each transaction contributes to the company’s overall growth and value creation strategy.
- Operational Excellence: Enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the finance function, the Finance Director will ensure robust financial controls, compliance, and risk management processes are in place.
- Stakeholder Management: Acting as a key point of contact for Private Equity investors, banks, and other external stakeholders, the Finance Director will provide clear and compelling financial insights and updates.
- Team Leadership: The Finance Director will lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a Finance Director or CFO, preferably within a Private Equity-backed environment and in a B2C business. Experience with buy-and-build strategies and M&A is essential.
