The Opportunity:
Finatal is partnering with an internationally recognised SaaS business with a turnover of £30m and a strong EBITDA, on a search for an exceptional Finance Director to join their team. Backed by Private Equity and renowned for their contributions to the industry, this high-growth organisation is gearing up for an exit within the next 12-18 months.
Reporting directly to the established Private Equity CFO, the Finance Director will play a critical role in professionalising the finance function, ensuring it meets Private Equity standards. This is a unique opportunity to lead and develop a finance team while being instrumental in driving both technical and commercial finance initiatives.
The Role:
· End-to-End Finance Leadership: Oversee and enhance all aspects of the finance function, ensuring robust systems and processes.
· FP&A and Business Partnering: Deliver insightful financial analysis and work closely with business leaders to support decision-making and strategic growth.
· Technical Excellence: Maintain high standards of financial reporting and compliance, as well as controls processes (Xero).
· Commercial Focus: Act as a key contributor to the organisation’s growth strategy, aligning financial goals with operational objectives.
· Exit Preparation: Partner with the CFO to drive initiatives that position the business for a successful Private Equity exit.
The Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be a driven and commercially astute finance professional with a strong track record in high-growth, change-driven environments.
· Professional finance qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
· Demonstrable experience in the SaaS/software sector (ideally lower-mid market, £20m-£100m in turnover size)
· Strong technical finance expertise combined with FP&A and business partnering capabilities.
· Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, ideally with prior Private Equity exposure.
