Finatal is partnered with a growing scale-up company in the MedTech sector that is seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Director to lead its financial operations. This business, at the forefront of AI-driven technology, is transforming patient care with its innovative solutions. The Finance Director will play a key role in shaping the financial strategy, professionalising the finance function, and supporting the company through its next phase of growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership: Responsible for leading the financial strategy and planning, ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term goals.
Professionalisation of Finance Function: They will oversee and enhance the finance department, implementing best practices, controls, and reporting systems to support growth and scalability.
Fundraising: Play a pivotal role in future fundraising activities, collaborating with the CEO and the board to secure necessary capital. Experience in successfully raising funds is highly preferable.
Budgeting and Forecasting: The Finance Director will manage the budgeting process, ensuring accurate forecasting and financial planning that aligns with strategic objectives.
Financial Reporting: They will ensure the timely and accurate delivery of financial reports, providing clear and actionable insights to the senior leadership team.
Experience:
Industry Experience: Prior experience in a senior financial role in the medtech sector is required.
VC/PE Backed Environment: The ideal candidate will have proven experience working in venture capital or private equity-backed businesses.
Fundraising: Demonstrated success in fundraising activities, including Series A/B/C rounds, is highly desirable.
Leadership: The Finance Director should have strong leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high-performing finance teams.
Professional Accreditation: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification is essential.
Strategic Thinker: The role requires a strategic thinker with attention to detail in execution.
