The Opportunity  

Finatal is representing an FMCG business is which private equity backed and scaling towards an exit in the medium term. The business has achieved an impressive precedent of 30% growth year on year, and in the timeline to exit, the Finance Director for the manufacturing division requires a hands-on and adaptable Finance Manager.  

This hire will be comfortable getting stuck in holistically across finance and leading on control and planning tasks as well as supporting working capital and analysis of product profitability. This opportunity will offer the successful candidate exposure to a personable Finance Director who will afford autonomy in the role, as well as an opportunity to support an exit process.  

The Responsibilities  

Key Partner in optimising working capital and analysis of product profitability, and fostering collaborative relationships with operational, sales and customer service teams to provide valuable financial insights and analyses. Ensure timely and accurate reporting and forecasting of financial performance including month end results. Responsible financial compliance and controls and overseeing the finance department staff in their day-to-day operations.

  • Key finance responsibilities include supporting visibility across finance, produce reports to analyse material costs, variance to cost models, and other key metrics.  
  • Month end: preparation and distribution of internal monthly management accounts, P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements.  
  • Preparation of bi-weekly cash flow forecasts. 
  • Reconciliations 
  • Year end: preparation of the year end management and statutory accounts including tax and audit pack.  
  • Generally, support and manage the finance team (AP/AR etc) 
  • VAT reporting  
  • Ad hoc projects  
  • Comfortable knowledge of UKGAAP and IFRS 

The Requirements 

  • You must be a qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA/CIMA) or international equivalent  
  • Ideally experience within a private equity backed environment / transferrable skillset suitable to a demanding, changing environment which is driving growth
