We are partnering exclusively with a leading, PE-backed technology services business, rapidly approaching £1 billion in revenue and experiencing significant growth through acquisition. They are seeking a proactive and commercially-minded Finance Business Partner to work closely with senior executives and divisional FDs. This role is central to driving financial insight, supporting decision-making governance, enabling strategic initiatives, and ensuring robust control in a dynamic, fast-changing organisation.

You will work across the business to influence decision-making, translate complex financial information into actionable insight, and partner on both operational and strategic initiatives—including IT system developments and acquisition integration.

What you will be doing:

Business Partnering

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the C-suite and senior executives in a private equity-backed environment.
  • Partner with business leaders to support revenue growth, gross profit generation, and overall business performance.
  • Provide challenge and insight, influencing commercial and operational decisions.
  • Support business case development from early-stage concept through fully developed proposals.

Financial Insight, Reporting & Commercial Database Management

  • Deliver accurate and insightful performance reporting to enable effective decision-making.
  • Translate complex financial trends into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Own and enhance commercial pricing tools and financial models.
  • Drive financial governance and embed controls across group-wide initiatives, including IT system implementations.

Strategic Planning

  • Lead revenue, gross profit, and KPI projections for budgeting and forecasting cycles.
  • Monitor performance against budget and forecast, identifying variances and supporting mitigation strategies.
  • Provide financial input into acquisition planning, integration, and post-merger performance management.

About You:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Strong modelling skills (Excel essential) and commercial acumen.
  • Comfortable handling a high workload in a fast-moving, PE-backed, multi-acquisition environment.
  • Experienced in partnering with senior stakeholders and C-suite executives.
  • Able to translate complex financial information into clear, concise, actionable insight.
  • Experience partnering on IT initiatives and embedding financial governance through systems.
  • Personable and approachable, with the confidence to challenge where needed.
  • Passionate about continuous improvement and supporting growth in a dynamic organisation.
