We are partnering with a PE-backed flexi-office space provider in London to appoint an interim Financial Controller on a 6-month contract. The business is in a high-growth phase, scaling rapidly to meet demand as the flexible workspace market continues to expand. With multiple new sites opening over the coming months, this role will be critical in ensuring financial rigour, strong controls, and high-quality reporting in a fast-paced, private equity-backed environment.
Reporting directly to the CFO, the Financial Controller will take ownership of the finance function, driving improvements in reporting, systems, and processes while providing strategic insight to both the leadership team and investors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the finance function, ensuring the delivery of robust financial reporting and analysis.
- Manage month-end close, consolidations, and preparation of board and investor packs.
- Strengthen financial controls and ensure scalability of processes as the business grows.
- Partner with operations and commercial teams to provide financial insight and support decision-making around new site rollouts.
- Deliver accurate forecasting, cash flow management, and KPI reporting aligned with investor expectations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, embedding a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with proven experience as a Financial Controller.
- Strong track record of managing finance functions in fast-paced, high-growth businesses.
- Experience in private equity-backed or multi-site environments is highly desirable.
