Position Overview:

Reporting to the Finance Director, the Financial Controller will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of the core finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and document policies and procedures for the finance function, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Manage and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support to ensure the efficient operation of the finance department.
  • Oversee month-end reporting processes, including preparation of financial statements, variance analysis, and reconciliation of accounts.
  • Support the commercial team with the production of quarterly reporting, providing insights and analysis to aid decision-making.
  • Manage multi-currency reporting and consolidation of group entities, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Liaise with third-party providers for tax, payroll, and other financial services, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare annual statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors as required.
  • Reconcile inter-company loan accounts and oversee the preparation of VAT returns.
  • Manage purchase order processes and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Support the Finance Director with cash forecasting and cash flow management, providing insights and recommendations to optimise liquidity.


  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a Finance Manager or Financial Controller role, preferably within the entertainment industry or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and reporting standards.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management systems.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
