Finatal is partnering with a dynamic and rapidly expanding start-up Software business, after recently securing VC funding. The company is poised for impressive growth through strategic M&A activities in the near future and is already one of the leading players in the market. Following this investment, the business is looking to recruit new talent to join their lean and dynamic finance team. The role will have fantastic exposure to experienced Senior Finance stakeholders and seasoned finance professionals.
We are seeking a highly ambitious and skilled Finance Controller to join a lean team and play a pivotal role in the business’ growth journey. The ideal candidate will be a qualified finance professional with a robust technical background, capable of leading our finance team through a period of transformation and expansion.
Responsibilities
● Reporting – Monthly management accounts and KPI reporting
● Producing weekly cash flows, monthly forecast and annual budgets
● Accounts receivable
● Accounts payable and employee expenses
● Accounting – Individual and Consolidated – Entities in the UK and USA.
● Deferred revenue calculations
● Coordinating and approving the monthly payroll process
● Coordinating year end statutory accounts, corporation tax, R&D claim calculation
● Management of company share option schemes and HMRC reporting
● Cap table management
● Identifying and implementing improvements to systems and processes
● Financial analysis and strategic planning
Essential skills and qualifications
● Have worked in a start-up / scale-up environment previously
● ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant
● Strong communication skills
● Strong upward management capability and highly trustworthy
● Experience within SAAS / subscription-based / high growth business
● Knowledge of Xero, Google Sheets, Stripe and other tools which can bring efficiencies to workflow ● Roll your sleeves up, can-do attitude
