The Opportunity
This is a hands-on, build-and-transform mandate for a CFO ready to professionalise and scale the finance organisation in a high-growth, PE-backed environment. You’ll take full ownership of finance operations shaping a lean setup into a data-driven, investor-grade platform that enables rapid decision-making, operational excellence, and value creation.
Key Mandate
- Stabilise and professionalise core accounting, reporting, and cash processes in partnership with external advisors.
- Deliver speed, control, and accuracy in monthly closings, compliance (HGB/IFRS), and management reporting.
- Build and lead a capable finance team and embed KPI-driven performance management.
- Digitise and automate processes across billing, controlling, and forecasting to create transparency and scalability.
- Drive integration and transformation through post-merger activities, treasury setup, and system improvements.
- Partner with the CEO and investors on business cases, M&A, and long-term value creation initiatives.
What Success Looks Like
Within 12 months, finance will operate as a reliable, fast, and insight-driven function delivering clean audits, timely reporting, and clear cash visibility. Within 18 months, you’ll have built a scalable finance infrastructure underpinning growth and future transactions positioning the business for its next phase of expansion and exit readiness.
Candidate Profile
- Accounting-qualified (CPA, Wirtschaftsprüfer, or equivalent) with strong HGB/IFRS knowledge.
- Proven track record building or transforming finance functions in PE-backed or M&A-driven environments.
- Highly hands-on and execution-focused, yet capable of shaping finance as a strategic partner.
Sector background in energy, infrastructure, or technical services beneficial but not essential.
