The Opportunity
Finatal is retained by a private equity backed software business which has recently been acquired by the upper mid-market fund. The business is scaling through international expansion, further product development, cross selling opportunities and buy-and-build activity. This will be a hands-on, varied role, suitable for a candidate who has the capacity to work at pace!
The position of FP&A Analyst is newly created as the team is professionalised following transaction. This hire will have broad exposure to senior leadership including the newly appointed and credible Head of Finance and CFO (both who specialise in PE + software environments).
The Responsibilities
- Conduct monthly and ad-hoc analyses and build presentations to report to management, providing insightful and impactful recommendations.
- Assist with the preparation, maintenance, and automation of various financial and cross functional reports to give stakeholders real-time insights on performance
- Contribute to the project management and preparation of the reporting to external parties (e.g. banks and investors)
- Contribute to the annual budgeting process or the long-range plan, performing financial analysis and modeling support as well as partnering with budget owners
- Conduct scenario analyses on financial implications to assist leadership in making strategic decisions e.g. product pricing, new initiatives
- Report, supervise, and maintain financial forecasts (as necessary) on key critical metrics such as gross margin or ARR
- Maintain detailed calculations on cash outgoings including for commissions or bonuses paid.
- Rolling cashflow forecasting, actual cashflow vs Budget reporting including enhancements to current cashflow reporting processes
The Requirements
- 2-4 years of FP&A experience. High-growth global tech, finance, consulting, banking, or Big 4 experience is a big plus
- VC/PE backed experience is a plus
- Must have excellent Excel and modelling Skills
