Finatal is working exclusively with the CFO of a PE backed cyber security business, seeking an experienced FP&A Manager to join them as the first FP&A hire, delivering commercial insights and driving business growth.


· Develop and enhance financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.

· Provide commercial insights to clarify margin and profitability across business activities.

· Analyse financial performance against key metrics and document highlights for management.

· Conduct variance analysis, identify trends, and recommend improvements.

· Prepare Board presentations, monthly reviews, and ad-hoc reports.

· Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with requirements.

· Support M&A activities through commercial evaluation.

· Collaborate with departments to interpret financial data and provide insights.

· Advise business units on financial strategies, cost savings, and revenue opportunities.

· Act as a financial advisor to department heads on results and trends.

· Identify and implement process improvements and automation in FP&A functions.

· Leverage BI tools to enhance data accuracy, reporting efficiency, and analytical capabilities.

· Perform ad-hoc scenario analysis and financial modelling for business decisions.


· ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification, or equivalent.

· Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in FP&A, preferably in a PE-backed or high-growth technology/cybersecurity environment.

· Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.

· Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with financial planning software (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Anaplan).

· Experience with BI tools and data visualisation (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is highly desirable.

· Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely.

· Strong business acumen and understanding of key financial and operational drivers.

· Ability to work collaboratively across functions and levels within the organization.

· High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

· Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
