They are seeking a talented and motivated Group Accountant to join their dynamic team and support financial operations at a critical stage in their journey. Key Responsibilities:
- Monthly Consolidation & Reporting: Prepare and deliver accurate and timely consolidated financial reports for the group, ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting standards.
- Annual Financial Statements & Audit: Lead the preparation of statutory accounts and manage the annual audit process, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Cash Flow & Forecasting: Develop and maintain robust cash flow forecasting processes to support business decision-making and liquidity management.
- Financial Policies & Processes: Implement and refine financial policies and processes to enhance control, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Financial System Development: Drive the development and optimization of financial systems to improve reporting accuracy and process efficiency.
- Treasury Activities: Oversee treasury functions, including factoring, forex management, and banking relationships.
- Tax Compliance & Planning: Manage tax compliance and planning, working closely with external advisors to optimize the company’s tax position.
- Statutory Entity Management: Ensure effective management and compliance of all statutory entities within the group.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Take ownership of diverse financial and operational projects, contributing to the overall strategy and goals of the company.
What We’re Looking For:
- A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience.
- Proven experience in group accounting, consolidation, and reporting within a complex organisational structure.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
- Experience working in a private equity-backed environment or manufacturing sector is advantageous.
- Proficiency in financial systems and a track record of driving system improvements.
- A proactive and adaptable mindset, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building relationships across all levels of the business.
