Finatal is partnered with a private equity-backed manufacturing business with a turnover of approximately £90million. The company is on an exciting growth trajectory, driven by innovation and operational excellence. They are seeking a talented and motivated Group Accountant to join their dynamic team and support financial operations at a critical stage in their journey. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a high-growth, PE-backed organisation with a strong market presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monthly Consolidation & Reporting: Prepare and deliver accurate and timely consolidated financial reports for the group, ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting standards.
  • Annual Financial Statements & Audit: Lead the preparation of statutory accounts and manage the annual audit process, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Cash Flow & Forecasting: Develop and maintain robust cash flow forecasting processes to support business decision-making and liquidity management.
  • Financial Policies & Processes: Implement and refine financial policies and processes to enhance control, compliance, and operational efficiency.
  • Financial System Development: Drive the development and optimization of financial systems to improve reporting accuracy and process efficiency.
  • Treasury Activities: Oversee treasury functions, including factoring, forex management, and banking relationships.
  • Tax Compliance & Planning: Manage tax compliance and planning, working closely with external advisors to optimize the company’s tax position.
  • Statutory Entity Management: Ensure effective management and compliance of all statutory entities within the group.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Take ownership of diverse financial and operational projects, contributing to the overall strategy and goals of the company.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience.
  • Proven experience in group accounting, consolidation, and reporting within a complex organisational structure.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
  • Experience working in a private equity-backed environment or manufacturing sector is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and a track record of driving system improvements.
  • A proactive and adaptable mindset, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building relationships across all levels of the business.
