Role:
Finatal is supporting a VC backed tech business, seeking an experienced Group FD to support the lead up to exit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the finance team of 10, ensuring efficient and high-performance operations.
- Develop and maintain robust financial controls and processes to support the company’s growth.
- Manage project accounting and provide clear, actionable financial insights to support decision-making.
- Monitor and report on key SaaS metrics, including ARR, retention rates, and LTV ratios.
- Oversee and coordinate the timely completion of audits, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Lead tax planning and compliance activities to optimize the company’s tax position.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive investor reporting to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
- Support the CFO in developing and executing financial strategies to optimise the company’s value and position it for a successful exit.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial performance and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent, with extensive experience in senior financial leadership roles.
- Proven expertise in project accounting within a technology or similar industry.
- Understanding of SaaS metrics and the ability to analyse ARR and related KPIs effectively.
- Demonstrated experience managing and developing finance teams.
- Track record of successfully supporting exits, M&A, or similar transactions in a VC/PE-backed environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Hands-on, strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities and a results-driven mindset.
