Finatal are partnering with an £50m t/o international healthcare/life sciences platform, seeking a Group Finance Manager to join the finance team and support the Financial Controller in ensuring sound financial management and reporting across the group. It has had 2x revenue growth & 10x EBITDA growth over the last 4 years.

The company operates across multiple entities and is focused on delivering accurate management accounting, statutory reporting, and driving efficiency improvements across the finance function.

The Role

Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will deputise for the Controller and play a central role in managing the group’s financial affairs, supporting operational and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation of management accounts for parent and subsidiary companies, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Partner with departmental owners of operational and support functions to ensure their feedback is reflected in financial results and to identify cost savings and efficiency opportunities.
  • Support the annual audit process, liaising with auditors and ensuring compliance with FRS102.
  • Prepare annual financial statements, ensuring quality, compliance with reporting standards, and timely filing.
  • Provide line management to the Management Accountant and Accounts Payable teams.
  • Work with the Financial Controller and tax advisers on corporation tax, VAT, and R&D tax credit submissions.
  • Support finance system updates and process improvements to enhance departmental efficiency.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • ACA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Experience in a large accounting practice (ideally big 4) or corporate finance role (1–2 years PQE desirable).
  • Strong technical knowledge in financial reporting and accounting standards.
  • Experience in management position
  • Healthcare PQE is highly advantageous

Skills & Abilities:

  • High degree of accuracy, analytical capability, and attention to detail.
  • Able to communicate confidently at all levels.
  • Energetic, highly organised, and able to prioritise effectively.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with financial management software is advantageous.
