The Opportunity:

A highly acquisitive, Private Equity backed B2B Services organisation based in Central London is seeking an experienced Group Reporting Manager to join its growing finance team. With c.£140m turnover and £30-£40m EBITDA, the business is in an exciting phase of expansion, averaging 10+ acquisitions annually and showing no signs of slowing down.

The Role:

Reporting directly to the Private Equity Finance Director, with a dotted line to the Group CFO, the Group Reporting Manager will be instrumental in delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting for the Group and integrating newly acquired businesses into the financial reporting framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquisition Accounting
  • Process all acquisition-related accounting entries at the point of acquisition
  • Adjust for any prior period restatements in line with Group policies
  • Monthly Group Consolidated Management Reporting
  • Prepare and deliver the full Group consolidated management accounts, including:
  • Group P&L and Group Balance Sheet ownership
  • Group Cash Flow
  • Monthly Board Pack with LTM trend analysis, tables, charts, and graphs
  • Covenant calculations and associated reporting
  • Head Office Management Accounts
  • Oversee financials for Head Office entities including:
  • Accruals and prepayments
  • Fixed asset accounting
  • Deferred consideration accruals
  • Acquisition Integration
  • Map trial balances of newly acquired businesses to the Group chart of accounts (Planful)
  • Support acquired business units with acquisition-related adjustments and ensure seamless integration into group reporting

The Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Proven experience in group consolidations and strong technical accounting capabilities
  • Exposure to acquisition accounting, integration, and Private Equity environments is highly desirable.
  • A detail-oriented and analytically strong finance professional
  • confident managing high volumes of data and capable of drawing out key insights for the board and investors.
  • Strong Excel skills: including Pivot Tables, IF statements, INDEX MATCH, VLOOKUP, charts, tables, and waterfalls
  • Familiarity with group consolidation tools (experience with Planful or similar platforms preferred)
  • Solid understanding of IFRS or UK GAAP
