As Head of Accounting (m/f/d), you will assume overall responsibility for national and group accounting under IFRS and HGB, as well as for the integration of newly acquired entities into the financial structure. You will play a key role in building a Shared Service Center and developing the European finance team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Full responsibility for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under IFRS and HGB
  • Preparation and management of group consolidation
  • Building and leading an international accounting team in Germany
  • Supporting the establishment of a Shared Service Center for European entities
  • Integration of newly acquired companies and systems into the group structure
  • Optimization and automation of accounting and reporting processes
  • Close collaboration with the Group CFO and local finance leads
  • Ensuring compliance with tax, audit, and regulatory requirements
  • Supporting ERP/financial system implementations and process harmonization

Your Profile

  • University degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in international accounting, ideally within a corporate environment
  • Proven leadership experience in managing finance teams
  • Strong expertise in IFRS and HGB (closing proficiency required)
  • Experience in consolidation, shared services, integration, and team building
  • Solid understanding of modern financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Workday)
  • Excellent command of English; native-level fluency in German
  • Willingness to travel to the UK and other European locations
  • Strong analytical and communication skills combined with a pragmatic leadership style
