A PE backed distribution group is seeking a commercially driven Head of Commercial Finance to support its next phase of growth.
Operating a substantial multi-site network across the UK, the business combines a strong heritage with an ambitious value creation plan. Backed by experienced financial sponsors, the group is focused on EBITDA expansion, working capital optimisation and scalable reporting in preparation for a future strategic milestone.
This is a key leadership role within finance, partnering closely with the CFO, CEO and investor board.
The Role
You will lead the commercial finance agenda across the group, providing robust insight, challenge and financial clarity to operational and commercial stakeholders.
Key areas of focus include:
- Ownership of budgeting, forecasting and medium-term planning
- Delivering clear, data-led performance insight to the executive team and investors
- Driving gross margin improvement through pricing, mix and rebate analysis
- Embedding consistent KPIs across a multi-branch environment
- Strengthening working capital controls and cash visibility
- Supporting acquisition analysis, integration tracking and synergy delivery
- Enhancing reporting processes and management information to support scale
- Leading and developing a small commercial finance team
