Finatal is currently partnered with aleading software business that was acquired this year by a mid-market Private Equity Fund and is now going on a rapid buy-and-build strategy. After the recent carve out they are looking for a new Head of Data to work at group level to consolidate a data strategy and optimise reporting to enable the business units to deliver maximum growth and profit. This will involve you being a pivotal point of contact, collaborating with executives such as CFO and CIO to ensure the value of data-led decision-making is communicated. You will have the opportunity to build out a data team in the long term to support the engineering and analytics capability of the group.
Role:
- Reporting to the CFO you will build and implement the data strategy aligning to company objectives and fast-paced inorganic growth.
- Drive the optimisation of business unit reporting, ensuring a single source of truth and Power BI reports are seamlessly transferred to the Group and between business units.
- Using your strong data engineering skills, you will own all data tools including data warehouse Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran and Power BI.
- As the business scales you will have the opportunity to build out a data team hiring relevant data analysts to ensure no bottlenecks.
Requirements:
- Track record in a lead or management data analytics, engineer, or head of data role where you have been involved in joining a business at an early stage of the data journey.
- Strong technical experience in engineering data analytics platforms across Snowflake, SQL Servers, Data lakes, DBT transformations, Fivetran and Power BI.
- Experience building or managing data teams including data analysts, engineers, and analytics engineers.
- Strong stakeholder management skills working across all levels including executives.
