The Opportunity  

Finatal is working with a c.£90M revenue infrastructure business which is presently scaling with a credible private equity fund. With an ambitious growth strategy, they are now seeking an exceptional Head of FP&A to join their leadership team and play a critical role in the financial decision-making process.

The Role

As the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), you will be at the heart of the company’s strategic and financial decision-making. This is a highly visible role, working closely with the CFO, executive leadership, and private equity stakeholders. You will lead a high-performing FP&A team, providing insights, forecasts, and analytics to guide our growth trajectory and ensure value creation.

The Responsibilities  

  • Comfortable building out the FP&A function  
  • Partnering with the CEO, CFO and wider Senior Leadership Team for the management of performance and delivery of strategic plans. 
  • Lead financial planning encompasses all aspects of the forecasting cycles (Budgets, Outlooks, Long Term Plan) ensuring key assumptions are understood, bought into by the business and strategic aims are delivered within required timelines. 
  • Influencing key stakeholders to drive proactive and corrective action using commercial acumen, data, insights and trends for the delivery of the Commercial P&L.  
  • Lead the implementation of digital technologies that will automate large parts of daily and weekly reporting as well as a data led approach to demand planning and production scheduling  

The Requirements  

  • ACA qualification with substantial post qualified experience  
  • Experience within infrastructure, telecoms, data centres or similar industries
  • Passionate about commercial finance with proven finance leadership experience, ability to build a ‘best in class’ commercial finance function  
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced data competencies highly valuable  
  • Strong commercial acumen with ability to influence senior stakeholders to drive profitability and improve financial performance of the company  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the FP&A function, developing best-in-class financial processes and tools.
  • Develop and oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
  • Provide actionable insights through in-depth financial analysis, scenario planning, and KPI tracking.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to shape the company’s financial strategy and operational objectives.
  • Partner with private equity stakeholders, providing regular performance updates, investor reporting, and analysis.
  • Monitor and optimise cash flow, working capital, and overall financial health.
  • Build and mentor a talented FP&A team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Support M&A activity, including financial modeling, due diligence, and integration planning.
