About the Business:

We are a high-growth financial services group with £5bn in assets under administration, backed by a leading mid-market private equity fund. As we build out a best-in-class finance function, we are looking for a commercially astute Head of FP&A to drive financial insight, planning, and decision-making across the group.

Role Overview:

Working closely with the CFO and senior leadership team, you will lead all financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis activities. This is a highly visible and strategic role, key to shaping the group’s growth trajectory, supporting board-level reporting, and delivering actionable commercial insight in a regulated, PE-backed environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning & Forecasting: Own the group budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Performance Analysis: Deliver robust financial analysis and KPIs to support decision-making across business units and senior leadership.
  • Board & Investor Reporting: Produce high-quality board packs, investor materials, and scenario models, partnering closely with the CFO.
  • Business Partnering: Work with department heads to understand cost drivers, revenue trends, and opportunities for optimisation.
  • Strategic Modelling: Support M&A, funding, and growth initiatives with detailed financial modelling and business case analysis.

Requirements:

  • ACA / CIMA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Strong FP&A background in financial services or a regulated environment
  • Experience working in a private equity-backed business (highly desirable)
  • Exceptional modelling, Excel, and presentation skills
  • Strong communicator and confident working at board level
  • Commercial, analytical, and hands-on
